About

I discovered my love for endurance sports in my 40's, from swimming and triathlons to running ultra-marathons. Today, I help others enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle—whether it’s a first 5K, an ultra, or general fitness.

I’m the owner of Run Fit Fordingbridge, a boutique fitness studio offering small group classes, personal training, and tailored sessions for women. I’m a qualified England Athletics Endurance Event Coach, Level 3 Personal Trainer, certified instructor in Boxercise, Purestretch, Indoor Cycling, Kettlebells, and Circuit Training, and a qualified nurse.

As a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist, I’ve supported athletes at events including the 2022 Commonwealth Games, helping clients recover faster, prevent injuries, and perform at their best.

Understanding DOMS: Recovery tips for sore muscles after exercise
It's January. Maybe you've added in that extra class, started lifting heavier weights, or begun building your weekly running volume for a spring marathon. Or perhaps you've taken the plunge and started exercising for the first time in years. Then two days later (or even the next morning), that familiar muscle ache arrives. I'm feeling it myself this week. I've upped my training for my May marathon and have a few aches and pains making their presence felt. We've all been there—you finish a...

Beyond weight loss: Why changing body composition really matters
There's a lot of talk about "losing weight" this time of year. The scales come out, resolutions are made, and suddenly everyone's focused on that number going down. But we need to shift our thinking. Losing weight isn’t just about shifting the scales – its about changing body composition – so reducing body fat while building and maintaining lean muscle mass, and the approach to achieving this is quite different from traditional "weight loss" thinking. Food choices and managing body...
