Fit Box
Accessible interval training for women's physiology
Service Description
Discover an accessible way into interval training with Fit Box. A boxing-based interval class designed specifically for how women's bodies work. Based on the research of Dr Stacy Sims, a leading expert in female physiology, this class uses structured one minute rounds of hard effort on the punchbags, kept moving through footwork and shuffles, followed by genuine recovery. Why Fit Box works: • Improves heart and vascular health • Boosts cardiovascular efficiency • Supports hormonal and stress adaptation • Helps maintain lean muscle and metabolic flexibility • Builds confidence and coordination through boxing skills What makes it different: Fit Box combines punchbag boxing rounds with bodyweight and light-resistance strength work, working in two groups so you're always either boxing or training, never waiting around. It's an effective, low-impact alternative to moderate cardio, suitable for all fitness levels. No boxing experience needed, as full instruction will be given. But you do need to feel confident with movements such as squats, planks and handling weights before joining, either through prior experience or as a FitStart graduate. Fit Box runs every Monday from 4pm to 4:30pm at Run Fit Fordingbridge in Breamore, near Fordingbridge starting from the 1st September 2026.
